Friends of the Lewes Public Library Book Sale to take place Aug. 30

The Friends of the Lewes Public Library will hold a book sale for the general public from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 30, at 111 Adams Ave. in Lewes. The sale is free to attend, and all proceeds benefit Lewes Public Library. The first-floor Booktique features books starting at $3. In the second-floor meeting rooms are hardback and trade paperbacks priced at $2 and paperbacks at $1, including a large selection of children’s books at great prices.

A Friends Members Only Preview sale takes place 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Friday, Aug. 29. Entrance to the preview night requires a current Friends of the Lewes Public Library membership. Anyone wishing to join the Friends or renew their membership may pick up a membership form at Lewes Public Library during business hours or at www.leweslibrary.org. Individuals also may become Friends members the night of the preview sale.

On Saturday book lovers can enjoy the Biblio Bistro. Breakfast and snacks include Surf Bagel bagels, coffee, soft drinks, and home-baked treats.

At this time, the Friends are not accepting donations for the sale. Donations will be accepted again beginning Monday, Sept. 22.
