Support group leader praises Boehlert

August 15, 2014

I am the leader of the local Parkinson’s Education and Support Group of Sussex County. Our group has worked with Leslie Boehlert on a number of occasions over the year. She has welcomed our group to her center and arranged for the center to host a number of our meetings. Additionally, she cosponsored a Walk on the Boardwalk with our group and the Lewes Senior Center May 17.

She put on a pancake breakfast for the walkers, and together with the Lewes Senior Center, provided transportation to and from her senior center to the Boardwalk. In addition, she made space available on the center’s grounds for registering for the walk and other activities. She was and is very supportive of our activities and has been a pleasure to work with. I hope we’ll be able to work again with Ms. Boehlert and others at the senior center on next year’s walk.

In addition, I was invited by Ms. Boehlert earlier this year to be part of her long-term/strategic planning team. It’s been my pleasure to work with Ms. Boehlert.
