Coastal Basketball Academy makes appearance at Cape

August 18, 2014

The Coastal Basketball Academy made its third summer visit to the Cape gymnasium Aug. 11-14 where 20 young players learned the fundamentals of the game from Cape Henlopen High School head coach Steve Re and his staff, including Beacon coach Sean O'Grady.

Campers learned passing, dribbling, shooting, game play and strategy each day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Re believes in teaching the fundamentals of the game, and he stresses them at the camp.

"The camp gives the kids an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the game," says the Vikings' fourth-year head coach. "They also get a lot of game play while they learn the game."
