Comedy Theatre to hold auditions for new members Aug. 26

August 19, 2014

Delaware Comedy Theatre, the Rehoboth Beach-based nonprofit improvisational theater group and school, now entering its 10th year in Delmarva, will be holding auditions for new members, ages 18-35, from 4 to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 26, upstairs at the Rehoboth Public Library, 226 Rehoboth Ave.

This audition is for performers with some acting or comedy experience, either in school or professionally, but nothing need be prepared for the audition in advance, as the auditions will be run in a workshop format, in order to see how individuals work with other performers.

“We have had such an amazing run here, entertaining both locals and tourists, for the last nine years,” says Artistic Director David Warick. “I am so looking forward to bringing in some fresh new talent to join our veteran performers in creating even more daring, cutting-edge improvisation and comedy shows.”

DCT is looking for only the ages mentioned above to attend these auditions at this time, but individuals over age 35 are welcome to email Warick at delcomedy@gmail.com, so individual auditions can be arranged at a later date.

For interested participants, metered street parking is available. Auditioning performers should wear comfortable shoes and clothing, and be prepared to stay for the entire audition period.  Confirm attendance at the auditions or ask for further information by emailing or calling Warick at delcomedy@gmail.com or 302-258-5443.

Delaware Comedy Theatre, formed in spring 2005, is a nonprofit theatre company bringing professional comedy improvisation training and performance to the greater Delmarva area.
