Cape Chorale to perform Aug. 26 in Lewes Summer Concert Series

August 20, 2014

The Cape Chorale will be giving a performance at the final outdoor concert of the 2014 WSFS Lewes Summer Concert Series at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 26, in Stango Park. The group will be singing a large variety of music from spirituals to classical and rock, from Shakespeare to Coldplay, a cappella and accompanied.

The Cape Chorale is the auditioned choir of Cape Henlopen High School, consisting of 32 students from grades 9-12. It is under the direction of Louise Foster, director of choirs at Cape.

They have won numerous awards and have a growing number of fans locally and in the Delmarva area. The Cape Chorale won third place in the Lenox Carol Festival, singing against adults and college choirs, and they won gold second place in the Inaugural Competition in Washington, D.C. This spring, they brought home silver from the Williamsburg Heritage Festival competition.

The performance is free to the public.
