Epworth United Methodist Church held its grand opening and dedication for its skateboard park Aug. 24. More than 100 skateboarders turned out to ride in the bowl and on the street course. Construction on the park, fully funded by local individuals and businesses, began in July of this year.
Local supporters, church officials and the skateboard park committee joined to gather to dedicate and bless the park after the gathered skaters loudly named the park "Epworth SK8 Park."
