Professional Disney travel advisor to answer questions in Bethany Feb. 14

February 10, 2016

Disney-certified Glass Slipper Concierge travel advisor Duane Whitman will answer his most-asked questions about vacationing at Walt Disney World and on the Disney Cruise Line from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 14, at the Ellen Rice Gallery in Bethany Beach.

Whitman has been helping people plan Disney and other vacations for more than 30 years. He is a College of Disney Knowledge graduate and certified Orlando Travel Expert who joined Glass Slipper Concierge, a Disney-specialized travel concierge service that offers meticulously planned Disney vacations, in 2012, and was recently named one of Glass Slipper Concierge’s top 10 travel advisors.

“Whether you’re planning a romantic couples getaway, small family vacation or traveling with a large group, the five most asked questions I’m asked about vacationing with Disney are 1) how many days are the optimum number of days to stay, 2) what are the best ways to see the most in the parks, 3) how many people can stay in a room, 4) when are rates the best and 5) how are room rates affected when you get free dining,” says Whitman. “Another is 'how can you help me?'"

“People tell me they go around in circles on websites trying to get answers to these questions, and I’m happy to answer them and any others they might have. Come to my presentations. Bring a list of questions. My advice is free. My detailed travel itineraries, reservations and on-call concierge service are also free when you book your vacations with me.”

Whitman will show video presentations and have free Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Line literature on hand Sunday, as well free hot cocoa, coffee and other refreshments to ward off the cold outside. One-on-one travel planning consultations will also be given as time allows.

In addition to his presentations, Whitman will update guests about changes at the Disney Parks and on the cruise line, including the new Star Wars-themed Millenium Falcon area of the Disney Dream, Star Wars-themed cruises on all four Disney Cruise Line ships, the new Star Wars area coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and the progress of James Cameron’s new Avatar complex in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

“Disney is ramping things up to continue its efforts to capture the imaginations of all ages. They’ve got tough competition out there with Universal Studios, particularly the Harry Potter-themed parks in Orlando, and I’m staying on top of it in order to provide the best information to my clients,” Whitman said.

Whitman specializes in Disney travel planning for parties of all ages and sizes, including multiple generations, but also plans vacations to destinations throughout the world.
