Lefty’s Alley and Eats names Lighthouse construction manager

March 5, 2016

Delaware’s beaches are one step closer to a brand-new, custom designed entertainment option. The management team of Lefty’s Alley and Eats recently named Lighthouse Construction to manage its groundbreaking 35,000-square-foot entertainment center at Dartmouth Plaza on Route 1 near Lewes.

As the construction manager, Lighthouse will handle all aspects of the building process and will work closely with the architect, Dynamic Designs of Orlando, Fla., to make any necessary field changes and modifications to meet local code.

“Lighthouse Construction was a natural choice for us based on their quality workmanship, and undisputed local experience and success on projects of this scale,” says DJ Hill, co-developer of Lefty’s Alley and Eats.

Site work began for the project in October, and Lighthouse will begin pouring concrete foundations as soon as weather permits. The entertainment center is on track for a November 2016 opening.

“We at Lighthouse Construction are thrilled to have the opportunity to lend our 20-plus years of experience to Lefty’s Alley and Eats, and to help make this exciting venture a reality,” says Robert MacLeish Sr., president of Lighthouse Construction. “Our focus and expertise, in addition to the actual construction, is to ensure all aspects of the build comply with local specifications and code. Lefty’s is going to be an amazing asset to the Delaware beach community, and we are proud to be a part of it.”

The first and only of its kind on Delmarva, Lefty’s Alley and Eats will be an entertainment venue featuring 16 bowling lanes, a 110-seat restaurant and bar, 4,500 square feet of arcade games, a two-story, 5,000-square-foot custom-themed laser tag arena and banquet rental options for special events. “Our team conducted extensive due diligence to get Lefty's Alley and Eats to this phase, and we are committed to making sure it is built to the highest possible standards to deliver the complete entertainment experience," said Chad Moore, co-developer of Lefty’s. “It all starts from the ground up. We are excited Lighthouse is on board.”
