Events This Weekend in Delaware and Maryland

We've got a full slate of great events to tell you about this week as the calendar flips to June and things begin picking up at and near the Delaware and Maryland beaches.

Towns and municipalities throughout the region are holding special events this coming weekend, so there's certainly no shortage of things to see and do from June 2-4.

Let's jump right in and tell you all about it! Here are the Oldfather Group's top picks for fun events and gatherings over this first weekend of June.

Mid-Atlantic Sea Glass & Coastal Arts Festival (June 3-4)

Held at the Lewes Historical Society complex on Shipcarpenter Street downtown, this early summer festival is one of the more popular June gatherings every year.

Scheduled for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday, this year's event will include around 70 sea glass and related vendors, as well as a children's educational area, maritime interpreters, a raffle, on-site food, and much more.

Admission to the festival is $10 for anyone 13 and over. Those 12 and under are admitted for free.

17th Annual Seaside Craft Show (June 3)

Held annually in early June, this year's Bethany Beach Seaside Craft Show is scheduled for Saturday, June 3, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

More than 100 artisans are expected this year in disciplines that include wood, jewelry, pottery, glass, and more.

The show takes place along the Bethany Beach Boardwalk, as well as the bandstand area, Garfield Parkway, Hollywood Street, and Parkwood Street.

Ladybug Music Festival (June 2)

This annual celebration of women in music features more than 40 female artists from around the country and will be held beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday, June 2, in downtown Wilmington.

In addition to great music, the festival will also include vendors, food trucks, alcohol selections, and more.

This event is free and will be held rain or shine.
