Michael Primavera is starting the next chapter of his life in the beautiful town of Lewes and he is excited to bring his passion about retirement planning to the local community as part of Dan White & Associates.

Michael has three amazing children, fifteen-year-old Ella and twelve-year-old twins, Michael and Morgan. The Primavera family has deep family values, and Michael’s parents, Fran and Linda, have been happily married for a lifetime and look forward to many beautiful visits to picturesque Lewes. Michael is also very close with his siblings, Fran and Maria, and their families. The whole Primavera clan gets together as often as possible and makes the most of every visit together and are looking forward to creating new memories in Lewes.

Michael grew up in Lansdale, PA, and attended Catholic education all through high school. He went to West Chester University, where he graduated in 1999. After Michael finished college, he started working in the retirement department at Provident Mutual, an insurance and financial institution. It was there that Michael began learning the ins and outs of the retirement business and grew to love this industry. His career then took him to Providence, Rhode Island, where he spent five years in the retirement field, selling and consulting on defined contribution and defined benefit plans. “This was a great job and a tremendous opportunity in life. I was twenty-something and moving from my rowhome in Norristown, PA, to a cottage in North Providence, R.I. I was now covering all of New England and upstate NY and soon would acquire TN and FL. Why not? I was not yet married, and before kids, I had a large territory with a product offering that could be utilized to meet the needs of the various retirement requirements. From individual policy holders and brokerage accounts to 401(k) and complex defined benefit and profit-sharing arrangements,” shared Michael.

Then Michael and his wife (at the time) moved back to the Philadelphia area to be closer to their extended family and start their own family. Michael continued in the retirement business, but this time with an acquisition firm focused on small benefit consulting groups. Michael was focused on building plans and strategies for the individual, private, and public sectors alike. It was a few years later that he was introduced to Dan White, whom he currently works for. “I was immediately impressed with Dan’s knowledge, philosophy, and approach to the retirement business, as well as the team of highly qualified professionals. Good people with good values. I immediately felt at home and jumped at the opportunity to be a part of Dan White & Associates in the newly opened Lewes office.”

Michael is a very involved father and believes that there is no greater success in life than his wonderful children. Both Primavera girls play soccer for multiple teams, and they both seem to be enjoying everything that competitive sports offer. Ella, who is in the ninth grade, is also on the high school track team. Son Michael, on the other hand, enjoys playing sports, but his true passion goes in a different direction. He enjoys performing and entertaining, and he participates in both school and community theater, which keeps him quite active throughout the year. “I never realized how much hard work and commitment goes into these performances, but if you ever get a chance, go see a local show,” Michael said.

Michael shared that having twins has been an amazing experience, and being blessed with a boy and a girl has been a unique and fun experience.

Michael told me that he has gotten to know a good number of people already through his work at Dan White & Associates. Michael hosts a live/in-person dinner seminar each week and invites thirty different residents from within the area. Michael said it’s been a great way to introduce himself and share what he can offer through Dan White & Associates. “As a firm, we have joined the Lewes Chamber of Commerce to participate in an organization known as the Counsel of Financial Educators. The organization is a free program that provides education to people from all different backgrounds. We also host seminars at local restaurants, libraries, and community centers to educate retirees and pre-retirees on a multitude of different financial topics. Our goal is to help as many people as we can by taking steps towards their financial freedom,” shared Michael.

Michael stays active outside of work and family and has always enjoyed bike riding. He loves to ski in Vermont when the chance allows and is very much enjoying living close to a beach year-round. Michael shared that growing up, he always wanted to live in a beach community, and Lewes has made his dream come true. “The people here have been so warm and welcoming, and I have really enjoyed spending time in Cape Henlopen State Park. I am so excited to be part of this wonderful community. I am looking forward to getting to know my neighbors both on a personal and business level,” shared Michael.
