Abbott’s Grill promotes Paul Gallo to culinary director

Abbott’s Grill announced the promotion of Paul Gallo to the role of culinary director for its two Sussex County locations – Abbott’s on Broad Creek in Laurel and Abbott’s Grill at Paynter’s Mill near Milton.

Having served most recently as executive chef at Abbott’s in Milton, Gallo will now oversee the menus and operations of both restaurants, as well as Abbott’s catering division.

With more than 25 years in the hospitality industry, including executive chef roles at all three of Abbott’s Grill locations, including the former restaurant in Milford, Gallo was a natural choice for owner Kevin Reading.

“Paul is a very skilled chef and a natural born leader,” said Reading. “I look forward to his energy and expertise in this expanded position.”

Gallo has won numerous awards and cooking competitions throughout his career. Besides his impressive culinary portfolio, Gallo holds and business administration and marketing degree from Wesley College, making him well suited for the role.

A father of three children, Gallo said he looks forward to bringing his passion for fresh, local food and love of the hospitality industry to both Abbott’s locations and its catering division.
