Amy Marasco is right for Lewes

March 29, 2024

For over 20 years, my family has lived in beautiful Lewes. My parents and brother have called Lewes home, and my other brother and I have purchased property and plan to retire there soon. My children and grandchildren have delighted in the beautiful beaches and charming downtown, all of us making such wonderful memories over these many years.

Lewes is such a treasure, which is why I’m taking the opportunity to urge voters to support Amy Marasco for city council in the upcoming election. Amy’s years of outstanding experience in thoughtful and effective business development, along with her dedication to environmental and community outreach, make her an excellent candidate for this important position. Amy has been recognized for her many leadership roles, including her work on the Lewes Planning Commission and chairmanship of the commission’s environmental subcommittee. As vice mayor of Hillsboro, Va., where she lived previously, Amy was lauded for her work securing millions of dollars in federal and state grants to transform that small town’s traffic issues, walkability and infrastructure.

But most important, Amy cherishes Lewes and will work tirelessly to address current challenges and ensure a bright future for this special town. Amy’s exceptional experience and leadership skills, along with her commitment and collaborative expertise, will ensure the preservation of Lewes for my children and grandchildren, and for all of us who are fortunate enough to call Lewes home. A vote for Amy is a vote for Lewes!
