Antique tractor pull set July 26 at Delaware State Fair
The Young Farmers & Ranchers Committee of the Delaware Farm Bureau announced its 31st annual antique tractor pull will be held Saturday, July 26, in the Quillen Arena at the Delaware State Fair in Harrington. Registration and check-in for the event begins at 7 a.m. with a drivers’ meeting at 8:30 a.m., and the first hook set for 9 a.m.
This event brings tractor enthusiasts together from several states to enjoy the camaraderie and competition.
“The pull is one of our most anticipated events. Whether you're a competitor or a spectator, it’s always an enjoyable and memorable experience,” said Sydnie Grossnickle, YF&R coordinator.
“Young Farmers & Ranchers is about building the future of agriculture, but also about building strong, connected communities. Our members, ages 18 to 40, are passionate about farming and committed to making a positive impact both in the field and in the community.”
The antique tractor pull also serves as a fundraiser to support committee activities like convention attendance and scholarships for Delaware students, with recipients announced every year during the contest.
“Young Farmers & Ranchers is an incredible group of people ages 18-40. They are dedicated to not just agriculture, but the community of consumers and professionals at large. Throughout the year, we get together to have fun, learn and support our community through scholarships, food drives and other efforts,” said Chair Will Powers.
