Antiques appraisal and auction set April 11 at Greenwood library
The Friends of the Greenwood Public Library will be holding their annual Antiques Appraisal Fair, with an auction of pre-selected items following the fair, at 12 p.m., Saturday, April 11, at the Greenwood Public Library, 100 Mill St. in Greenwood.
This is the afternoon for those interested in knowing the value of a family heirloom or yard sale purchase or for those who enjoy watching "Antiques Roadshow."
All antiques and collectibles will be expertly appraised in a group lecture-type format. Following the appraisal session, there will be an auction of many different types of items conducted by Evard B. Hall, auctioneer and appraiser.
Tickets are required for admittance into the appraisal session; cost is $5 for admittance to observe, or $5 per appraised item, up to two items. Admission to the auction is free. Refreshments prepared by the Friends of the Greenwood Public Library will also be available for purchase.
