Arts guild to host polymer clay program and demo Aug. 19

Milton Arts Guild will offer a polymer clay presentation and demonstration by Joe Barbaccia, a noted expert in creating one-of-a-kind works from polymer clay, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Friday, Aug. 19, at its gallery at 107 Federal St., Milton.

The unique event is free to attend.

Barbaccia will demonstrate his use of polymer clay to create three-dimensional works of art similar to bas relief. He will discuss how the materials are used and manipulated. In addition, many pieces of his art will be on display to illustrate how his methods are applied.

An expert in creating beautiful designs from polymer clay, Barbaccia has written articles for Polymer Arts magazine, and has been featured in Luzer’s Archive 200 Best Illustrators Worldwide. He is a member of the Rehoboth Art League, the Society of Illustrators, the Illustrators Club of Washington, D.C., and several other arts organizations. To see his work, go to paradisestudio.com.
