Atlantic Refrigeration holiday donation drive runs thru Dec. 12
In an effort to support children and families in need in Cape and other local school districts, Atlantic Refrigeration & Air Conditioning is sponsoring a holiday community clothing and food drive, continuing through Friday, Dec. 12.
Items accepted include clothing of any size, including pants, sweaters, coats, shoes, and socks; nonperishable food items like pasta, peanut butter, soup, tuna, canned goods, and fruit cups; and personal hygiene products such as shampoo, body soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste and deodorant.
“As we enter into the holiday season, especially when schools will be closed for consecutive days, it is so important to ensure that the school districts have provisions on hand to send home with students for the holiday break,” said Kim Scarpetti, Atlantic Refrigeration office operations manager.
Donated items will be distributed to the Cape Henlopen, Capital, Indian River, Laurel, Milford and Seaford school districts the week of Monday, Dec. 15. They will be used to help stock districts’ community closets and food pantries, which provide items for children experiencing homelessness, family emergencies and other life challenging situations.
Donations can be dropped off during business hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, at Atlantic Refrigeration, 17553 Nassau Commons Blvd., Lewes.
For more information, call 302-856-9300 or email info@atlanticrefrigeration.com.
The drive is in addition to Atlantic Refrigeration’s annual holiday shopping initiative, which aims to spread cheer by providing gifts and supplies for either four to five students or a family in need from six local school districts.
