Atracare welcomes experienced primary care provider

October 13, 2025

Atracare has announced Dallas Jackson, FNP, has joined its primary care team.

As an eager learner, Jackson always had her sights set on becoming a healthcare professional. She committed to the cause by entering an accelerated nursing program through Delaware Technical Community College and graduating with her associate degree in nursing at the age of 20. She began her career as a registered nurse on a general surgery unit in Newport News, Va., while simultaneously earning her bachelor's degree in nursing through Wilmington University.

Working during the COVID-19 pandemic that caused supply shortages, staffing deficits and ever-changing medical guidelines shaped Jackson’s ability to adapt and overcome the trials of healthcare. She devoted her time as charge nurse to both the general surgery and COVID-19 units.

Relocating to the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, Jackson returned to graduate school and worked full time as a pediatric home healthcare RN, taking care of medically complex children in the comfort of their own homes. She graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, earning her master’s degree in nursing in August 2023. Jackson is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a family nurse practitioner.

A lifelong learner and avid enthusiast for holistic care and shared decision-making, Jackson put her passion for preventative medicine into action by practicing as a primary care provider for 12 months before relocating back to her Delaware roots, where she has joined the Atracare team.

When not serving the needs of others, Jackson can be found with her husband, Nick, and daughter, Maren, at local farmers markets or beaches, or out and about with her two pups, Boots and Bandit. Jackson said she keeps family values at her core and carries that passion into the care she provides as an FNP.
