Babe Ruth autographed baseball sold at Emmert Auction

A Babe Ruth-autographed baseball sold for $6,250 at an Emmert Auctions Associates event held at Rehoboth Beach Convention Center Feb. 17.
At the time of the auction, the ball did not have a certificate of authenticity. A New Jersey-based authenticator, James Spence Authentication, scheduled to authenticate the ball, couldn't make the trip in time for the auction, but plans to inspect the ball very soon. Butch Emmert of Emmert Auction Associates said, "I give the ball Butch Guarantee."
