Barbara Sapp, woman of faith
Barbara Sapp passed peacefully into eternal rest Friday, Jan. 16, 2026, at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, surrounded by the love of her family. Her earthly journey has ended, but her life in Christ continues, as she has been welcomed home into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior.
Barbara was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother whose life reflected faith, love, and service. She is survived by her three children, Charles James Larsen (Cindy), Robyn Atkins (Owen) and Robert Sapp Jr.; two grandchildren, Charles Larsen Jr. (Stevi) and Julie Larsen; and five cherished great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her beloved husband, Robert Sapp Sr., with whom she is now joyfully reunited in heaven.
Barbara’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. She deeply loved her family and her church family, and found strength, comfort and purpose in her relationship with God. Through prayer, kindness, and unwavering trust in the Lord, she lived out her faith daily and left a lasting example for those who knew her.
Though we mourn her passing, we take comfort in God’s promise: “To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.” Barbara’s life was a testament to love and faith, and her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her.
A service to celebrate Barbara’s life will be held at noon, Thursday, Feb. 5, at Community Church of Oak Orchard, 32615 Oak Orchard Road, Millsboro, where friends and family may call after 11 a.m.
Following the services there will be a time for memories and lunch at Indian River Volunteer Fire Company, 32628 Oak Orchard Road, Millsboro.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Barbara’s memory to Delaware Hospice, in gratitude for the compassionate care she received.
She will be deeply missed on this side of heaven, but we rejoice knowing that she now rests in eternal peace, free from pain and forever embraced by God’s everlasting love.
