Bayhealth recognizes Project SEARCH intern program graduates

July 28, 2025

Bayhealth recently held a graduation ceremony for its 11th cohort of Project SEARCH interns at Bayhealth Kent Campus that included a celebratory clap-out with team members applauding the graduates along the hallway of one of the hospital’s pavilions.

In partnership with Capital School District’s Kent County Community School, Project SEARCH is a business-led, one-year, school-to-work transition program that prepares high school graduates with intellectual and developmental disabilities for success in the workforce. Throughout the year, participants complete three rotational internships in various Bayhealth departments, gaining hands-on experience and essential workplace skills with the ultimate goal of achieving gainful employment.

“Being a part of this program has been a true privilege, with over 100 interns graduating in the last 11 years,” said Angeline Dewey, MSN, RN, APRN, ACNS-BC, CCRN, CNRN, Bayhealth senior director for clinical practice and professional development. “We invite the community to join us in applauding the graduates for their achievements.”
