Bayhealth virtual urgent care fee waived thru March 11
As Bayhealth continues to support the health needs of local residents, its new 24/7 virtual urgent healthcare service called Bayhealth@Home has already been well received by community members. Based on positive feedback, a special offer to receive one free virtual urgent care visit per user is now being extended. Through Friday, March 11, community members can use a coupon code that waives the fee on their first virtual urgent care visit on Bayhealth@Home. This service is available online at bayhealth.org/virtual-urgent-care or via the mobile app BayhealthAtHome, enabling anyone to get the care they need whenever they need it and from the comfort of their home. The coupon is limited to one person per household.
“We’re so pleased that local residents are enjoying the ease and convenience of our new virtual urgent care service, Bayhealth@Home,” said Dr. Jonathan Kaufmann, Bayhealth vice president and chief medical information officer. “There has been such a great response to this service and our coupon code that we have extended it through March 11 to allow even more community members to benefit from it.”
During various points of the pandemic and particularly in recent months, many emergency departments, walk-in centers and physician offices have seen higher-than-normal patient volumes. Kaufmann reminds members of the public that a visit to a hospital emergency department should be for those who are having a true medical emergency or are seriously ill. Bayhealth@Home is a particularly useful alternative for non-emergency illnesses or injuries of all kinds, he said.
“With Bayhealth@Home, individuals are connecting with a U.S. board-certified doctor in as few as 10 minutes, and getting the treatment and guidance they need. You can have this secure and private virtual visit through your computer or mobile device at any time of day or night. It’s a great option if you’re feeling too sick to go out, too busy to wait for an in-person visit or are traveling and have an urgent care need come up,” said Kaufmann. “At Bayhealth, we are proud to be expanding upon our services to keep our local communities healthy and help patients by meeting them where they are.”
