Beach Time Distilling welcomes trail riders with bike rack

March 16, 2019

As the Lewes-Georgetown Rail Trail nears completion, excitement abounds for local businesses along the route. At the Nassau Road trail crossing, Beach Time Distilling is no exception.

Customers will have safe, simple bike access for a quick and easy stop for refreshments. Some trail users have already begun to stop in for a beverage or tasting. Others inquire about the offerings of the business and come back later when they are not on their bikes.

“We’ve had one customer come in a few times for a Dark ‘n’ Stormy can from the trail,” said Greg Christmas, owner and distiller. “They told me it fits perfectly in their cupholder for their ride home.”

There are now some finishing touches being applied to the trail by Beach Time Distilling. A small bike rack and bench were recently installed, along with a fence separating the trail from the business property. Currently, some work is being done on the parking lot adjacent to the trail used by patrons of the distillery and its neighbor, Old World Breads.

With spring just around the corner, there will be plenty of bikes on the trail. Beach Time Distilling encourages everyone to drink and bike responsibly.
