Beacon boys’ basketball downs Raiders by 20

The Beacon boys’ basketball team bested the Woodbridge Raiders by 20 (53-33) Dec. 20 at Beacon. They move to 4-0 on the season.

The Vikings took a 23-13 score into the halftime break. They continued to show their dominance in the second half, outscoring the Raiders 30-20 to garner the 53-33 win.

Vikings eighth-grader Jameson Tingle led all scorers with 17 points. Daveyonn Conquest hit for 15, Jordan Thomas added 10 points, and Oz Daisey, Trey Batson and Lamas McCoy teamed for 11 points.

The Beacon squad will travel to Selbyville Monday, Jan. 10.

He won a photography award from the National Newspaper Association, and numerous awards from the Maryland, Delaware, D.C.
