Betsy and Pete Hansot of Lewes celebrate 60th anniversary

Betsy and Pete Hansot celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary July 3 with a family dinner at a Lewes Beach house.

The Hansots were married Aug. 4, 1962, in Black Mountain, N.C.; however, their celebration was held during the week of July 4 when everyone was able to visit the area. One grandson traveled from Europe to be at the event.

The group of 18 family members gathered for the occasion included daughter Denise Reaves and family members Bill, Kendall, Alex and Marissa; and son Chris Hansot, Sara DeRuyck, Noah, Stella, Frances and Wyatt. Also attending were a nephew, niece and their children. The group was amazed by dinner prepared by Sean Corea, chef of the soon-to-open Lewes Oyster House. The significant evening was captured by Deny Howeth Photography. It was a memorable day for the entire family.
