Code Purple at the Cape will be collecting donated cases of bottled water from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, July 12, in the parking lot at St. Jude the Apostle Church, 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes.
To ensure clean drinking water throughout the summer for the 28 men and women temporarily housed at Tharros Village, a volunteer-run, self-governed shelter near Lewes for individuals experiencing homelessness, the goal is to collect 100 cases of bottled water. Donors are asked to follow signs to the drop-off point where volunteers will accept the case(s) of water without drivers leaving their vehicles.
