September 21, 2022

Caitlin Krisko & The Broadcast has shared the stage with Mavis Staples, Marcus King, St. Paul and the Broken Bones, and blues great Bettye LaVette. Now, music lovers in and around the Cape Region can experience the group’s talents in The Room at Cedar Grove near Lewes.

The concert set for 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 29, includes a multicourse wine-pairing dinner with proceeds to benefit Paul Kares, a nonprofit supporting young musicians and aspiring culinary professionals.

“Expect a mix of soul, blues and rock arrangements,” said Paul Cullen, who created The Room at Cedar Grove. “It’s just the right blend for the intimate setting.”

Cullen is impressed with Krisko’s powerful voice. She’s played with members of Tedeschi Trucks Band and David Bowie’s Blackstar Band. “She is amazing and so talented,” Cullen said.

He also co-founded Paul Kares, a 501c3 charity currently accepting grant applications. To apply for a Paul Kares grant, visit paulkaresde.org/apply.

Cullen is a chef, sommelier and musician who fell in love with wine and food while touring with the rock band Bad Company. He is known for offering in-home dining experiences with a menu inspired by his Italian ancestry. He also imports Italian gourmet items and started a wine company featuring Italian imports.

Tickets for Caitlin Krisko & The Broadcast are $85 each and include the concert, meal and wine, but not gratuity. To purchase tickets, visit paulcullen.rocks/events.

The concert is one of many at the event venue, which also offers chef dinners and culinary classes.
