The No. 1 girls’ lacrosse team in Delaware by computer rankings is Cape Henlopen. The Vikings brushed aside the Bucs of Milford May 11 by a score of 20-3.
Milford is a first-year program under head coach Amanda Frampton, who is in her last season of coaching.
Cape (12-1) will host Saint Mark’s Saturday, May 15, to close out the regular season. Milford (4-8) has games remaining at Caravel and home versus Polytech.
Cape scorers were Haley Craig, Riley Keen and Molly Mendez each with three goals; Emily Monigle, Carrie Clausius, Lindsay D’Ambrogi, Lulu Rishko, and Lexi Nowakowski with two apiece; and Kelly Bragg with one goal.
Milford goals came from the eighth-grade trio of Bailey Masten, Lina Frederick and Hannah Zimmerman.

The state tournament brackets will be released Sunday, May 16.
Tournament play will begin Wednesday, May 19, at the site of the higher-seeded team.
