Cape coach Bill Geppert had praise for the visiting Milford team.

“I was impressed with the Milford team,” he said. “Although they had a small number of athletes, they swam really well and posted some good times. Hats off to their coaches for preparing them for the meet. They will be a team to be reckoned with at conferences this year.

“Our kids continue to improve,” he continued. ”We are concerned about the flu bug hitting our team, but so far they have remained healthy. We just have to keep working hard over the holidays. Our coaches [Tina Nigh, Rick Brokaw, Pete Olson and Kristina Lingo] have done a super job working on technique. They make my job easy.”

The Vikings travel to Seaford on Tuesday, Dec. 18, for a matchup with the Blue Jays.
