Carolyn Humes of Milford presented a check for $12,000 to the Friends of Delaware Veterans Inc. Jan. 19 at the Commission of Veterans Affairs office in Dover. She said, "As the proud mother of an Army veteran, I know this contribution will be put to good use.” The Friends of Delaware Veterans Inc. is the official fundraising organization of the Delaware Veterans Trust Fund
The Veterans Trust Fund was signed into law in 2013. A special account holds 100 percent of contributions to help all generations of Delaware veterans in proven need.
