Catching up on the Cape Gazette in Ketchikan, Alaska

In August, Cape Gazette readers Ailene, Mike and Xiaofan Corey of Lewes enjoyed a cruise in Alaska. While on the cruise, they visited a few cities in the 49th state, and also took the time to catch up on some local news back home. They are shown here reading their favorite newspaper in the city of Ketchikan. The city is known to have the world's largest collection of standing totem poles that are hand carved locally using Alaskan Yellow Cedar grown deep in the rain forests of Alaska
