Celebrating the holidays in Germany and on the Danube with the Gazette

On December 12 of last year, best friends Vince & Carol Aversa and Eileen & Jim Hagerty, all of Lewes, began their magical excursion. They made their first stop in Munich, Germany to enjoy the Christmas Markets of Europe. Continuing by train, they spent several days in Prague, Frankfurt and Nuremberg. While in Nuremberg, they boarded Uniworld’s SS Beatrice for a 13-day Grand Christmas & New Year’s Eve River Cruise. Ports of call included Regensburg, Deggendorf, Passau (where they had a chance to read their favorite paper), Linz (with a full day spent in Salzburg) and then Vienna, where they waltzed in the New Year in the beautiful Vienna Palace. The last stop was in beautiful Budapest. They had a wonderful trip with the Cape Gazette making fun-filled, lifetime memories!
