Chamber welcomes new owners of New Wave Spas

The Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce welcomed the new owners of New Wave Spas with a Sept. 30 ribbon cutting at the showroom on the Forgotten Mile at 20660 Coastal Highway, Rehoboth Beach.

Amy Sweeney and her family took ownership of New Wave Spas June 1 and have enjoyed getting to know their customers and continuing to provide service to clients in the region. After raising their three sons in Towson, Md., and Nashville, Tenn., the Sweeneys relocated full time to Rehoboth Beach in 2023. Amy’s husband John Sweeney grew up in Wilmington and enjoyed spending vacations in Rehoboth, so the connections are deep. Her son Sam Sweeney is an active part of the business, providing service and maintenance for clients. Longtime patrons will remember Colby Sockriter, who remained on the team when the business ownership changed.
