CHEER seeks Do More 24 donations March 4-5

CHEER will be participating in Do More 24 Delaware, a statewide fundraising campaign, from 6 p.m., Thursday, March 4, through 6 p.m., Friday, March 5.  Supporters can go to domore24delaware.org and designate a donation to CHEER.

With fewer foundations, smaller grants and formerly localized investments now leaving the state, the impact of individual donations is more important than ever in ensuring that seniors are fed and cared for. What would life would be like for elderly loved ones if the work CHEER does stopped tomorrow? The community everyone cares about relies on support for CHEER.

It’s not just CHEER’s work that makes Delaware a great place to call home. Even in this small state, there are more than 5,000 nonprofits working each day to provide education, culture, healthcare, shelter, a quality environment and more. But the future of the work they do is not at all assured. Delawareans must work together to ensure the continuation of the critical services that make the state safe, special and sustainable for future generations.

Supporting this fundraiser can make 24 hours last for 12 months for deserving seniors.
