Chelsea M. Powell, warm, loving person

Chelsea M. Powell, 29, of Frankford passed away unexpectedly Sunday, April 5, 2020, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes.

She was born in Lewes March 20, 1991, to Ralph Jeffrey Powell and Janet E. (Cooper) Powell.  She was a graduate of Indian River High School class of 2009.  Chelsea currently was working with her mom in the family business, Mimi’s Cleaning & Home Solutions.

Chelsea will be remembered as a very warm, loving person who could always put a smile on your face. Her kind, selfless spirit allowed her to care for elderly friends and family. She was a devoted and loving mother whose legacy will live on with her three beautiful children. Her decision to be an organ donor only further demonstrated her compassion for others.

Chelsea loved and was loved dearly by her family as well as the Irving family.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Ralph and Mattie Powell.  She is survived by her longtime boyfriend, Trevor Irving and their three children, Cameron, Carmella and Carson Irving.  Chelsea is also survived by her mother, Janet Fisher and her husband, Mark; her father, Jeff Powell; a sister, Melanie Petrie and her husband, Charles; a brother, Jason Powell; maternal grandparents, James and Dorothy Cooper; stepsiblings, Cory Fisher and his wife Michele, Audrey Fisher Killen and her husband Jamie, and Stefany Fisher; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. 

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a celebration of Chelsea’s life will be held at a later date.
