Children’s Beach House to host holiday masquerade Dec. 1

November 11, 2023

Children’s Beach House will kick off the holiday season with its Winter Wonder holiday masquerade gala set for 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 1, at 1800 Bay Ave., Lewes.

Carly Meluney of Jack Lingo Realtor and Bryan Peden, owner of Joynt Physical Therapy, are serving as co-chairs and have planned a party that will serve up CBH’s much-loved and time-tested combination of holiday fun, along with some new surprises. The event will feature live music and entertainment, hors d’oeuvres, and a buffet dinner prepared by Greater Good Events, CBH’s acclaimed social enterprise caterer. Live and silent auctions, and beer, wine and cocktail bars will round out the fun.

“We’re very excited and honored to co-chair this event,” said Meluney. “CBH is beloved by so many and does such important work, it makes perfect sense to kick off the holiday season with a party that supports those services.”

“This is my second year co-chairing this party,” said Peden. “I’ve seen the work CBH does with the proceeds, and I’m happy to help make that happen again. This is also a very fun event.”

The holiday masquerade will also include a special preview of an art show at CBH that will feature local and regional artists. Friday night guests will be given the first opportunity to view the art and make purchases, and on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 2 and 3, the art show will be open to the public. It will also be included in the Lewes Historical Society’s Dec. 2 Holiday House Tour.

Proceeds from the event and art show will support CBH’s programs for children across the state of Delaware.
