Chris Scotland joins The Bridge radio station team
The Bridge, a network of Christian-format radio stations serving Delaware, Maryland, South Jersey and the Eastern Shore of Virginia, announced the addition of Christian radio veteran Chris Scotland to its team.
In mid-September, Scotland will join Bill Sammons and Denise Harper as co-host of the highly rated “Morning Show” on The Bridge. His resume includes stints at WRBS, Baltimore; KNWI, Des Moines, Iowa; and most recently WCIC, Peoria, Ill. He also served nine years as a worship pastor in Colorado Springs, Colo. Chris and his wife Melinda have five children and will be relocating to Delaware.
“Chris has a natural, warm and engaging manner that we believe will resonate with The Bridge listeners,” said Jeff Twilley, vice president of operations and technology with The Bridge of Hope Inc., the nonprofit ministry that owns the four full-power radio stations operating as The Bridge. “He's a great storyteller, and has compassion and wisdom, and a love for local radio and the local communities we are privileged to serve. We're glad to welcome him to Delmarva.”
The Bridge consists of four FM radio stations reaching a population of more than 1.5 million people in four states, plus a growing audience via its app and web stream. The stations include 88.7 FM, WKNZ, Harrington-Dover; 92.5 FM, WNKZ, Pocomoke City-Salisbury, Md.; 89.3 FM, Bridgeton-Vineland, N.J.; and 105.5 FM, Cape May Courthouse-Ocean City, N.J. The stations exist to be a voice in the community connecting people to Jesus and each other, and strengthening their lives.
