Clarifying 14th RD Dems’ position on candidates

August 30, 2024

I am writing to address a recent issue involving a mailer from the Delaware State Education Association that has caused significant confusion and discomfort. The mailer in question, which advocates for Claire Snyder-Hall in the primary Democratic race for the 14th District seat, includes my photograph. This use of my photo suggests that I have endorsed Snyder-Hall, which is not the case.

As chair of the 14th Democratic Representative Committee, I want to make it absolutely clear that neither I, nor the 14th RD, has endorsed any of the candidates in this primary. The inclusion of my photo in the mailer has led to numerous inquiries from constituents and colleagues, placing me in an uncomfortable and misleading position.

It is crucial for the integrity of the electoral process that endorsements and support are accurately represented.
