Clear Space Theatre thanks supporters

March 12, 2021

Clear Space Theatre is thankful and humbled by the enormous support shown during Do More 24 March 4-5.  We were expecting to raise some money during this fundraiser; however, we were blown away by the amount of supporters who went online and made donations to Clear Space.  Our original goal was $5,000, but shortly after the event started at 6 p.m., March 4, we decided we underestimated our donors and raised our goal to $15,000.

After 24 hours, Clear Space raised $26,420 in donations!  We had 244 people donate to Clear Space in just 24 hours. Clear Space was awarded an additional $10,000 by the Delaware Division of the Arts for the most donors during the 24-hour event.  In addition to the $10,000 bonus grant, Clear Space will also receive additional funds from two stretch pools organized for the event.

Clear Space wishes to thank Spur Impact, Longwood Foundation, Welfare Foundation Inc., The Lafffey-McHugh Foundation, DCF, United Way of Delaware, Delaware Division of the Arts, and the other sponsors of Do More 24 DE. If we were on stage, we would be giving our donors a standing ovation. Thank you so much for showing that Clear Space is an important part of our community and not only appreciated but desired.  We look forward to many more years serving the residents and visitors of Southern Delaware with live theatre and performing arts enrichment.
