The Coffee Mill of Rehoboth to celebrate 20th anniversary July 28 with 'Today Show' host

Event will raise funds for Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition
July 17, 2012

The Coffee Mill, a Rehoboth Beach business that serves more than 120 varieties of organic fair trade coffee, will be celebrating its 20th anniversary with special guest Hoda Kotb, cohost of the fourth hour of NBC’s “The Today Show.”

The anniversary celebration will be held from 8 to 9:30 a.m., Saturday, July 28, at The Coffee Mill in the Rehoboth Mews, 127-B Rehoboth Ave. No advance tickets are required for the event, and all donations will benefit the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition.

“I decided to make the anniversary celebration a fundraiser for DBCC to help those affected by breast cancer in the community and to raise awareness,” said The Coffee Mill’s Mel Damascena. Kotb is a breast cancer survivor and strong advocate for breast cancer awareness. At the event, she will speak and host a special Q&A session.

The event will also include a silent auction with two backstage passes for “The Today Show” up for grabs, among other items. A selection of photographic art from Mel’s Fine Photography will be available for purchase, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit DBCC. The Coffee Mill has been featured on “The Today Show” on the Favorite Things segment and is one of Kotb’s usual stops in Rehoboth Beach. Go to www.coffeemillrehoboth.com to see the video.
