Community Bank Delaware promotes David Van Pelt

Lewes branch manager named assistant vice president

Community Bank Delaware announced the promotion of David Van Pelt to assistant vice president.

Van Pelt joined the bank in 2016 as a branch manager, bringing more than 23 years of business development, branch management and lending experience. He will continue to oversee and coordinate all functions of the Lewes branch to include developing and managing customer relationships.

A Sussex County native, Van Pelt understands the area and industry trends. He is committed to community banking and supporting the people in Sussex County.

“Dave’s local background coupled with his banking expertise allows him to understand what makes our area unique and why its banking needs are best met by a community bank,” said Jack Riddle, Community Bank Delaware president.

“I am proud to work with Community Bank Delaware where I can be a part of the local populace of where I grew up. I enjoy taking part in small-town activities and continuing to foster customer relationships throughout Sussex County,” said Van Pelt.

He is a 1980 Cape Henlopen High School graduate and a 1985 graduate of the University of Delaware. He is active in the Crossroad Community Church and involved in coaching for Milton Little League. He lives in Georgetown with his wife Pam and their two children.
