Groome Church in Lewes to resume in-person services Feb. 21

Groome Church, located at 601 Savannah Road in Lewes, will resume weekly in-person services starting at 10 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 21. Masks and social distancing will be required. “With COVID-19 case numbers beginning to decline, and the state allowing 50 percent capacity, we feel it’s appropriate to resume in-house services,” said Pastor Will Crossan. “If cases continue to decline, we’ll be looking forward to restarting our community ministries and outreach, as well as weekly Bible study.”

Unitarian Universalists online service Feb. 21

The Unitarian Universalists of Southern Delaware will hold an online service a half-hour later than usual, at 10:30 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 21, on its YouTube Channel. The Rev. Pamela Wat of First Unitarian Church of Wilmington will deliver A Promise of Love. Ancient Hebrew scripture describes a great promise that God made with the world, and that promise might be more important now than ever before. Rehoboth Beach Green Drinks to meet Feb. 22

Rehoboth Beach Green Drinks will meet virtually from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Monday, Feb. 22. The guest speaker will be Frances Hart, president of the Inland Bays Foundation. Hart was a defense contractor for most of her career, working in information technology. She joined the Inland Bays Foundation in 2013 and is now in her second term as president. For 29 years, she has been a volunteer for the University of Delaware Citizen Monitoring Program, collecting and testing water samples. She lives in lower Delaware in an energy-efficient home of her own design which has a solar array. She has two children, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In her spare time, she is an avid kayaker and quilter.

Lenten series at Holy Spirit Anglican to start Feb. 24

Holy Spirit Anglican Church announced The Life of Jesus, its 6th Annual Lenten Teaching series, will begin Wednesday, Feb. 24. Participants will meet in person, using safe social distancing. Gatherings will start at 6:30 p.m. with a meager meal of soup and bread, and fellowship. The teaching begins at 7 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
