Comprehensive Breast Center to host open house Jan. 23

January 20, 2020

The Comprehensive Breast Center recently announced the opening of its new office.

M. Lisa Attebery, DO, FACOS, is now seeing new and previous patients at her office at 19409 Plantation Road, Suite 3, Rehoboth Beach. An open house is set for 2 to 6 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 23.

The center will see female and male patients for all breast concerns, including abnormal mammograms, breast lumps and previous breast cancers. Attebery is experienced in breast reductions, breast enhancements and breast reconstruction.

Attebery is the only fellowship-trained breast surgeon in the state and is the first on the East Coast to use the Sentimag, Magseed and Magtracer. This new technology allows patients to have breast surgery without the painful, pre-operative needle localizations that were previously used to diagnose and remove cancers, and the injections to test lymph nodes. Attebery provides ultrasounds and biopsies right in her office, allowing for faster results and improved patient care.

Attebery has also received advanced training in therapeutic and cosmetic Botox and Juvéderm.

“The goal is to provide patients in Delaware with the same high-level advanced breast care that they would receive in any large city or academic center. The patients in Delaware deserve the best care locally, without having to leave home,” said Attebery.

Attebery completed her breast surgical oncology fellowship at Bryn Mawr Hospital in Bryn Mawr, Pa. She is a board-certified general surgeon, having finished her training at NYU Lutheran Medical Center, Brooklyn. She completed a year of plastic and reconstruction training at Ohio State University.
