Conley’s Thrift Shop seeks support during road construction

Conley’s Thrift Shop organizers are asking for the community’s continued support during road construction and closures this summer. 

DelDOT has closed Robinsonville Road at the intersection with Route 24 from May 12 until August, cutting off direct access to Conley’s Thrift Shop from Route 24 during the busiest season of the year. Reduced sales means all programs and outreach supported by the thrift shop will suffer.

Patrons are asked to take note of directions to access the shop. 

Drivers coming eastbound on Route 24 from the Long Neck area can turn left on Dorman Road just before the light at the closed intersection, then proceed to turn right onto Conley's Chapel Road, then right onto Robinsonville Road and right into the thrift store parking lot. Those coming westbound from Route 1 on Route 24 can turn right onto Harts Road just past Peddlers Village; then left at the stop sign and take Harts Road to the end, then turn left at stop sign onto Robinsonville Road. After following Robinsonville Road around a deep curve, the thrift shop parking lot will be on the driver’s right side at the second curve.  

Since it opened more than 10 years ago, Conley’s Thrift Shop on Robinsonville Road in the Angola area west of Lewes has become a staple of the surrounding community and a welcome oasis from a difficult economy.

Whether shoppers need low-cost clothing, furniture or household items, or just a friendly hello and a prayer, they will find it at Conley’s Thrift Shop. The shop also helps the homeless and disadvantaged with many items at little or no cost. Shop proceeds support the many outreach ministries of Conley’s Church.
