CVS Awareness Day is March 5

February 24, 2026

Im writing about Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome Awareness Day March 5. CVS is an orphan disease with no cure and limited knowledge in understanding and treatment. I live with CVS. It causes severe nausea and vomiting until dehydrated and in an emergency room. It affects primarily children and is considered a migraine variance. We are often misdiagnosed and treated with disbelief in medical settings. They have said drink more, eat more and limit sun fun in local hospitals in Sussex County.

With CVS, we have very limited medical care. There didn't seem to be a neurologist in Delaware for me, causing me to get referred to Jefferson neuroscience for preventative care.

Please help raise awareness March 5. References are available in CVS Facebook groups. We help each other with the lack of care and understanding we receive.
