Darryl Mears, former Rehoboth shop owner

Darryl Mears, 63, died unexpectedly Jan. 7, 2019, with his loving husband and partner of 35 years, Bill Langkammer, by his side at Mease Countryside Hospital in Safe Harbor, Fla.

The couple formerly owned and operated Peninsula Laminations in Rehoboth Beach and lived near Lewes.

Darryl was comical, sweet, witty, caring, loving, kind and full of life. Daryl was an organ donor and able to live vibrantly through helping and saving others.

Besides his husband, he is survived by two sisters, Debbie Ennis and her husband Dickie of Quantico, Md., and Dawn Crockett of Crisfield, Md. He also had two nieces, Nicole Bozman and Leslie Crockett; and a nephew, William Betts.

A celebration of life will be held from 1 to 3 p.m., Saturday, May 11, at Grotto Grand Slam, Lewes.
