Delaware daughter Antje Duvekot to perform Nov. 19 in Lewes

November 18, 2022

Antje Duvekot will return to Delaware for the first time in over 20 years thanks to a new local venue called The Listening Booth that describes itself as “a haven for original music in Southern Delaware.”

Doors will open at 7 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 19, at the Cinema Art Theater, 17701 Dartmouth Drive, Lewes.

“We could not be more excited,” said Marissa Levy Lerer, founder and chief roadie (a frequent touring pal of artists like Lisa Loeb, Dar Williams and Matt Nathason). “Antje is the ultimate child of Delaware – having started her career here at age 13 – and to have her bring that magic full circle with us is an absolute fever dream.”

The show will also feature 15-year-old Cal Toner as the opener in a nod to Duvekot’s support of young Delaware artists and this new venue that will connect them to a broader national audience.

The Listening Booth is a music venue in Lewes that serves as a haven for music, musicians and culture appreciators looking to be entertained, build community and support original art. Listeners have a fully immersive experience with drinks, snacks and light bites from local vendor partners while enjoying original music from local and national touring acts.
