Denny Huss is the Santa who just won't quit

A happy surprise supporting Winter WonderFEST
March 19, 2017

The Christmas decorations are packed away, but for Denny Huss the spirit of giving is timely any time of year.

He's the guy who patiently listened to hundreds of children eager to share their holiday wish list with the bearded guy in the bright red suit. Every evening he took center stage at the Christmas Village during Winter WonderFEST's fundraising events for Sussex County.

More recently, Huss demonstrated the true meaning of giving isn't limited to the holiday season. "Who better than Santa to show everyone that giving back to our community is the best gift of all!" says this jolly man who decided to share his Santa earnings with Festival of Cheer, the nonprofit organization responsible for Winter WonderFEST.

"Denny's donation is a kind and generous reminder that our work isn't limited to November and December. Our efforts are year-round in order to keep Winter WonderFEST growing," says Josh Grapski, Festival of Cheer treasurer. "This man is the true definition of Christmas spirit!"

Grapski reports that planning is well underway for Winter WonderFEST 2017. "It'll be bigger, and brighter. And our fundraising remains committed to helping charitable organizations who support those residing, and living in, Sussex County."

A total of $65,000 in award grants will be made available from the 2016 fundraising efforts. Grapski says that later this month announcements will be made regarding the application process for organizations dedicated to improve health, education, culture and the environment within our community. "Every dollar stays right here in Sussex County."
