Dewey family fun events begin June 22

It’s time for some summer family fun in Dewey Beach.

The Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce and Dewey Beach Business Partnership recently announced there will be a Kid’s Beach Party from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, June 22, on the beach at Dagsworthy Avenue.

Families are invited to the beach for games, music and children’s finger food. Local mascots including Smiley the Dolphin, the Starboard Shark and their friends will be on hand to greet everyone at the festivities.

After the party, stick around for s’mores fun. Families can bring beach chairs and some marshmallows and enjoy the first Wednesday Night Bonfire on the Beach of the 2011 summer season. The bonfire will burn from 7:30 to 11 p.m.
