Dewey thanks chamber President Carol Everhart ahead of retirement

July 30, 2025

Dewey Beach Town Council took a moment at its July 18 meeting to thank Carol Everhart, president and CEO of the Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce, for her more than 30 years of work.

Everhart, who turned 81 in June, announced her retirement in early July.

On behalf of the town, Mayor Bill Stevens presented her with a bouquet of flowers and a plaque of appreciation.

“With our deepest appreciation, we hereby honor Carol Everhart in recognition of 36 years of guidance, service and commitment to the Town of Dewey Beach,” the plaque reads. “Thank you.”
