Regarding Senate Bill 6: I wholeheartedly endorse what I interpret as preserving the three governing tenets of the Warner Land Grant as it relates to Cape Henlopen State Park. Let us not forget that included in the park’s history was a time when the entire park was known as Fort Miles. We should not forget the historical significance of this cultural artifact and the continuing need to tell its story. My hope is that we can continue to expand Fort Miles Museum’s capability to tell its story to future generations while preserving the land grant’s governing priorities.
